Transforming Healthcare Advisory Board

The Transforming Healthcare Project exists to advance equity in healthcare by promoting the leadership and lived experiences of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Arc of the United States, in partnership with World Institute on Disability (WID), and survivors of sexual violence, are shifting healthcare culture through honest conversations between the disability and healthcare communities. We are developing guidelines that promote cultural humility, people with IDD as co-trainers, and safe, respectful, and inclusive healthcare.
