Last week, following the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria, the GADRA rapid response was activated and stood up their virtual EOC in preparation to support disabled people's organizations (DLOs in the region. Already, GADRA has capitalized on its Global reach and accessible EOC to connect with multiple DLOs who are striving to meet the needs of people with disabilities in the disaster area. These organizations are not looking for charity, and that is not what GADRA provides. GADRA is connecting DPOs with corporations, other supporters in the area, and experienced DPOs who have lived experience helping their community respond and recover from disasters.
