Emergency Preparedness in the Workplace: Disability-Inclusive Readiness & Risk Reduction

  • Learn how crises disproportionately impact people with disabilities and how to apply inclusive, accessible response practices.

The externally sourced paid workshop examines case studies showing how disasters disproportionately impact people with disabilities, highlighting systemic inaccessibility. It further dives into the roles and responsibilities of public, private, and personal actors and provides recommendations for integrating, applying, assessing, and improving preparedness and resilience plans. It also shares proactive practices for emergency response, public health, and support systems, and explores related key topics such as Comprehensive and essential components of disability-inclusive; Accessible emergency preparedness; Continuity/resumption of operations; Workplace and community resilience planning.

Disability Foundation and Basics Training
