Allysa is WID’s UX Specialist since June of 2022. Allysa reports to the Senior Director of Operations & Deputy Director and works in the Accessibility and Universal Design Solutions team, coordinating usability testing and focus group sessions in order to analyze accessibility issues.
Allysa received a B.S. in Public Health at The University of Alabama. Allysa’s professional career has been focused on serving the unhoused population in central Alabama, working alongside clients to decrease barriers into obtaining permanent, stable housing.

Allysa has a special passion for economic equality and accessible education for immigrant households, affordable housing, racial inequality in all of its facets, and health disparities. Allysa strongly believes in always striving to have cultural competency, inclusivity, and the willingness to learn in all spaces.
Allysa was born in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. in 2005, currently enjoying the peaceful nature in the state of Alabama. Outside of WID, Allysa loves to create visual art, hanging out with her dog, cooking and trying new foods, and traveling.
